Dr Eva Zopf

Eva is an exercise physiologist whose research interest focuses on the role of exercise as medicine for the management of cancer. She graduated with a PhD in Sport Science at the German Sport University in Cologne, Germany and worked at the Edith Cowan University as a postdoctoral research fellow before joining the Institute for Health and Ageing in July 2016. Aside from developing, conducting and evaluating exercise intervention studies in cancer patients, Eva is also dedicated to improving the supportive care services available for cancer survivors. She was involved in developing a concept of exercise medicine for cancer patients in Germany, which has been successfully implemented into the medical setting and is supported by German health insurance companies since 2015.
