Live Long Live Well Colloquium Series
The Institute for Health & Ageing (IHA) is pleased to present monthly talks from colleagues and collaborators working across a range of disciplines relative to the pursuit of healthy and active ageing.
We invite you to join us for these seminars, in person or online.
NB: Our July colloquium has been rescheduled for August.
In August Professor Ester Cerin from IHA will discuss the neighbourhood environment and active ageing from an international perspective.
In May we welcomed Professor Peter Rendell, Director of the Cognition and Emotion Research Centre who will speak on Prospective Memory and Emotion Regulation – examining whether both could be spared the effects of ageing.
In June, Dr Jerome Rachele, Research Fellow from IHA discussed applying a spatial perspective to transport infrastructure for active living – particularly in the context of policy.
Also in June we had a guest presentation by Dr Kristiann Heesch of QUT, who discussed how data from smart phone GPS app Strava has been used to evaluate new transport infrastructure.
All presentations are followed by an opportunity for discussion.
When: 2-3pm AEST, first Wednesday of the month.
Where: Rm 6.02, Level 6, 215 Spring Street Melbourne.
